Employment Opportunities and domains for Translators (NRCPD)
We have structured our Translation programme so you can do it in 2 stages. Part 1 is the skills and knowledge development, to prepare you for Part 2 of the programme. Our curriculum has been developed by a team of qualified and highly experienced staff who have a comprehensive understanding of Interpreting and Translation theory, the intra-lingual process and associated translation issues.
Over this 8-month course, you will see a considerable development in your knowledge of translation issues as well as a corresponding development of your translation skills.
"The course trainers are immensely knowledgeable. They worked hard at providing what we needed to know and do to achieve the qualification, including preparing us for the field of work. The course opens up a new avenue for deaf BSL users for whom English is not their strong point. Doing work on a par with BSL interpreters, and working alongside these professionals should be very rewarding in itself. This will add another job perspective to my signing work.
I certainly would recommend Signamic as a trainer provider for this course as they make the course enjoyable and very welcoming and know the field inside out. Not to mention that they offer lots ot of support."
